Welcome to BetterAlt. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This policy explains how we collect and use your data when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect data necessary to help you track your progress. This includes locally fetched health metrics (such as step counts, active calories, and distance readings) via Google Health Connect and Apple HealthKit. We also securely collect basic account profile markers like your phone number/email and display name for order verification purposes.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your progress tracking data is sent securely to our Firebase Cloud databases to maintain your streak continuity across multiple devices. Your data is used exclusively to track your fitness accomplishments and verify your eligibility for BetterAlt order bonuses. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or health demographic data.

3. Health Data Storage & Permissions

This application reads from Apple HealthKit and Google Health Connect exclusively with your explicit permission. We do not permanently append destructive or false data into your core OS health timeline. Data is processed solely to compute your daily metrics and display them in your personal dashboard.

4. Account Deletion & Data Retention

You have the right to permanently delete your localized account and all corresponding streak records from our secure servers at any time directly from the Profile section of the app. Upon deletion, all associated health tracking metrics linked to your account are permanently wiped from our databases.
